Our Services

The NT Working Women’s Centre (NTWWC) is a community-based, non-profit organisation providing free and confidential; advice, assistance, and representation to women and gender diverse people about work-related matters across the Northern Territory for over 30 years.


With offices in Darwin and Alice Springs, we also provide community education, workplace training and advocate for reforms to laws that unfairly impact women and their rights in relation to work.

Information, Advice and Advocacy

Our experienced Industrial Liaison Officers provide free, confidential,  specialist tailored support to women and gender-diverse people in the Northern Territory experiencing workplace issues. We offer practical advice, information and advocacy to help you understand your rights and navigate workplace concerns.

Workplace Legal Advice and Representation

Our legal service complements and strengthens our industrial relations advice and advocacy work, ensuring a seamless and supportive pathway for clients.

Where appropriate, our Industrial Liaison Officers may refer your matter to our in-house legal team for further assessment.

Community Education and Workplace Training

The NT Working Women’s Centre delivers a range of community education and workplace training initiatives designed to build knowledge, confidence and safer workplaces across the Northern Territory.

The Best Foot Forward Pilot Program

The Best Foot Forward (BFF) Program (pilot) supports women who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) to:

  • Return to work
  • Enter the workforce for the first time
  • Retain current employment

Advocacy for Law and Policy Reform

The NT Working Women’s Centre advocates for reforms to laws and policies that unfairly impact women and their rights at work.

Research Project - Living and Working in the NT

The NT Working Women’s Centre has been funded by the NT Government to undertake independent research to better understand the experiences of women and gender diverse people living and working in the Northern Territory.
