The NT Working Women’s Centre advocates for reforms to laws and policies that unfairly impact women and their rights at work.
Our team is passionate about driving systemic change to improve workplace equality and economic security for women. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience supporting working women across the Northern Territory, we use our frontline knowledge to inform advocacy at all levels of government.
What We Do
- Prepare submissions to public inquiries and legislative reviews
- Advocate for law reform that advances gender equality at work
- Provide expert commentary to the media on work-related issues
- Provide policy advice and recommendations to local, state and federal governments

- Paid parental leave
- Pay equity
- Industrial relations legislation
- National Employment Standards
- Sex discrimination and workplace harassment
